The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which will be observed by Christian churches worldwide January 18-25, has adopted as its theme the passage from Matthew 18:20, 'Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.'

Approximately 35 members of the Anglican Communion Working Group on Theological Education (TEAC) are currently gathering for a major meeting at Kempton Park Conference Centre near Johannesburg, South Africa. The meeting will last from 14 - 21 January 2006

Canon Kenneth Kearon, Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion is delighted to announce three new appointements to the Anglican Communion Office. Clare Amos has been appointed as Director of Theological Studies for the Anglican Communion. Christine Codner appointed Senior PA to the Secretary General and Suminder Duggal appointed Communications Assistant.

Churches from around the Anglican Communion reported record attendance at their Christmas services. Carol Services and the traditional Midnight Mass found churches with standing room only, with some places having to turn people away for safety reasons
